A Wonderful & Unique Weekend

 The weekend involved a package that arrived on our doorstep Tuesday.  Our youngest son wanted to Facetime us when we received it, but we couldn't get our schedules aligned.  Friday worked, but my husband and I had no clue what this was about. Should have, but didn't.  Everything became clear when this was seen inside the package...

A little earlier than we all expected, but everyone is happy and excited!

Sunday I went out for brunch with some friends.  The place is called "Oh My Soul" and it is a vegan restaurant.  Really cool building and good food.  

I can never turn down a mango smoothie! 

This dish is called "Big Ben" and it gives you plenty to eat.  Avocados, tofu, sliced tomatoes, spinach, and a waffle made with cornmeal... savory more than sweet.  It has this sauce covering it that was very tasty. 

One of the other girls ordered this.  The huge dark object on top of the waffle is cauliflower. 

We had a great time getting caught up on each other's lives. 

Then a longed-for ride on a greenway in our city.  I have not done this for at least 2 years.  It felt sooo good!

My How Time Flies

We haven't seen these friends in over 20 years.  It was so nice of them to come our way and take us out for a wonderful Thai meal.
